About
The 2 hour tour goes through the longest valley in the Faroe Islands leading up to the majestic village of Saksun. You will get an impression of the daily feeding routine on the largest sheepholding in the Faroe Islands.
The terrain offers spectacular views all through the valley along with the close contact to the sheep at feeding time. It is lambing season, and there will be plenty of photo oppertunities with the sheep and sheepdog.
Getting to the various destinations involves several exciting river crossings with the 4x4 vehicle, especially on rainy days, aswell as good oppertunity to talk to the sheperdess.
The tour ends in the village of Hvalvík where you will enjoy a traditional lunch at “Niðristova”.
